Chop Flop Shot
In 2020, protesters organized a protected no-police zone in a 6 block area in Seattle for Black Lives Matter. The mayor allowed the protesters to hold the area and withdrew police support. After a few weeks, scuffles broke out in the Chaz, renamed Chop after army approached. Three people were shot in the Chop, leading to protesters to realize the value of a trained police force vs. armed untrained teens to protect the public.
