Urban Art

There are many forms of urban art. In the 1970s aerosol paint was mass produced for the consumer and graffiti sprung up. At the same time, artists started to reuse technics from advertising like outdoor posters to get their message out or name out if they were into graffiti. One of the more better known artists was Banksy spraying first messages and later iconography making fun of the existing world hypocrisies. In my own Political Pop style, I tend to explore the truth of certain themes used in Hollywood and pop cultural with the darker reality underneath. Many artists today reuse pop imagery in their graffiti and street art to use a second meaning to their art.
