Rating: PG-13, Time: 2hr 14min, Director: Bryan Singer, Cast on IMDb How closely did the acting follow the performance? To be honest, this is going to BURY A Star is Born. They really should have staged that movie further out from this movie. A Star is Born is about an actor and singer, singing fake songs (not produced by a band), fake story and it shows. I liked that movie and likely will not miss on Lady Gaga fan, but this is so much better. The actors really look like Queen, play like Queen and perform like Queen. In A Star is Born, there are fake zoom outs, too many close ups to kind of cover on the music dubbing I think. This movie (likely dubbed over as well in the edit) reads as if they took all the sound straight from the concerts or recording studios. Just phenomenal how much better a real story can thrash a good plot, but in the end fake. Can't beat the live cuts of Live Aid into the movie as well, phenomenal What was your favorite surprise in the film? One of the great scenes of acting is Mike Myers playing one of the early record producers that gave a lot of money to Queen to record and then they return with this extremely different sound from their first album. He is terribly afraid it won't be played at all based off the 6 minute length of Bohemian Rhapsody, so they fire him, but not before he drops, "do you think kids will be head banging this crap, give me a break!" It's such a priceless remark as it throws back to Wayne's World when Mike Myers got his start head banging to Bohemian Rhapsody. What did you think of the love stories of Mary and Allen in Freddie Mercury's life? This is a great story arc of the character of Freddie, who falls in love with a girl and marries her and then goes on to massive stage success. As he tours around, he eventually starts to fall for men, realizing that he is in fact bisexual. He still wants to preserve the relationship with Mary, but can't escape some fun on the road. Eventually, Mary gets fed up and leaves, which breaks Freddie's heart, who decides to have two houses, so they can share the cats. Mary eventually gets a boyfriend and later pregnant, which kind of seals the deal of a dead relationship. At the same time. one of the band manager, Allen becomes the new flame for Mercury, although Freddie isn't loyal to him either, but they are both ok with the setup. Eventually, Allen poisons Freddie against the band, which almost leads to a complete break with the band. How well do you think they paralleled the real Queen? I think they did such a great job. One of the band members actually worked closely with the writers and director to get that true Queen sound. It was crucial that the sound of Queen comes off (which you can just lip sync and edit over) and the performance matches. I never saw Queen in concert, kind of discovering them later with Wayne's World. Although I did ALWAYS roller skate when "Another One Bites the Dust" played at the roller rink. I liked how they show the beginning of the band, when the lead singer quits, the same night Freddie approaches the band as a song writer and singer. They captured as well the changes in the sound of the group as they experiment on various albums, hairstyles and behind the scenes drama between all the band members. How popular was the movie? I was lucky to have had the chance to see it in Dolby, which I would say is a must for a music focused film. Why can't AMC just have all its cinema switched over to Dolby, since they compete with home surround sound. As you can see from the photo, they had all the garbage completely full from so many seats sold. It makes me nostalgic for the days I worked in the cinema and saw The Doors over and over again. This film, I would love to see over and over again like The Doors. Hats off to the crew making this film. Favorite Queen song:

The Bohemian Rhapsody Biopic Movie was worth the wait. Almost 10 years in development.
