Art History

Art has been defined by many styles over history that goes back to the stone age when people drew the hunt of buffalo and bulls on the fields of Africa. Below is a summary of major art styles from the 19th century to today.  Before the late 19th century, most art styles were some form of realism in general. There were some exceptions like iconography and calligraphy.
